What to Expect During Your Visit
What attracts so many to this spot is that it doesn’t require any hiking. Just park your car and walk a few feet to see the stunning views.
The viewpoint features 115 steps to the top and a couple of viewing decks. Parents can bring their kids here to give them a sense of adventure as they climb to the top of the rocky mountain.
First let me start by saying it’s completely worth the visit, but there are some things that deter people from visiting that you should be aware of.
First, I’m not messing around when I say the roads are windy and steep. It’s like going up a rollercoaster waiting for the drop but you keep going up. Not to mention the road is narrow so if someone is coming up the same time you, one of you have to figure out how to pull over.
The first time we drove up Bell Mountain is was a little nerve wracking but we’ve been 3+ times now and do the drive with ease.
Once at the top of the mountain, you will notice that it is covered in grafitti. This is off putting because you see something so beautiful destroyed by human deference.
