With over 1,4000 feet in elevation gain, it will surely get your heart pumping. Luckily, halfway up to the summit, you will reach an overlook that gives you a sneak peek of what’s to come. It’s a great place to catch your breath before continuing upward.

River tubing a popular family summer activity in Helen, so you will see people of all ages out on the water. I recommend going in the mornings if you’d like to avoid the crowds.

Pro Tip: Don’t forget the water shoes! The bottom of the river is full of little rocks that aren’t comfortable standing on. You can check out my favorite pair here.
3) Hike to Raven Cliff Falls
“A waterfall inside of a cliff?? No way that exists in Georgia.” These were my exact words when my friend told me about this beautiful hike.
